The Swifts reserves were unfortunate going down 2-1 in another nail-biter that went to extra time.
It was a fantastic day of football that the Weston Workers Bears were honoured to host. Thank you to the 2 competing clubs and their supporters for the atmosphere and co-operation.
Also, a huge thank you to the Club volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the day to make it run so smoothly.
The Bears have 3 players - Luke Walker, Mick Holt and Rhys Tippett - involved in the NNSW team who take on a Victorian Federation select to help celebrate 125 years of football in the North. Both states will meet in a men’s and women’s representative fixture this Saturday, at Wanderers Oval, Broadmeadow.
The women's match will lead off the doubleheader on the day with kickoff at 1pm, followed by the men's match at 3pm.
On behalf of all at the Bears - congratulations on your selection and enjoy!
C'MON NORTHERN!
