Welcome to Issue 3 of The Bear Facts,

It’ always a busy time leading into a season and this season seems to have taken it to a new level.

On the field Kew Jaliens, continues to place his mark on the Club.

Kew has worked with all the youth teams through their trials and training.

Feedback has been of the highest praise and we are all very excited for the young players who are experiencing the supportive and nurturing environment Kew and the Youth coaches have created.

The senior squads have been working very hard through their pre-season. Solid performances in trials and progression in the FFA Cup naturally builds to tougher opposition and they wouldn’t want it any other way. We have welcomed a number of talented new lads to the Club to join a core group of Bears seniors and it’s been great to see a number of young lads get their opportunity to step up. We also welcome back Mick Ryan who has been trialing the house down.

Off the field there has been a lot of minor and major work carried out on the facility. What has been fantastic is everyone putting their shoulder to the wheel and assisting where they can and when asked - thank you!

We also have a number of events coming up so be sure to check out the Bears website noticeboard and note the dates in your diary. In particular the Vegas Night is shaping up as a cracker.

One exciting development has the potential to be one for the ages and we look forward to bringing you more updates as this develops - I know this is a bit of a tease but, when we know more, you will too!

I hope you find this edition's news and articles of interest and remember....

C’Mon you Bears!!

Opportunities for youth

MM
Weston Bears aim to blend youth with experience in 2016

"We had a very settled team for the last four or five years and not many people broke into it," he said.

Vegas Night

On Saturday April 16....
How I wish that there were more,

Than the twenty-four hours in the day.
Because even if there were forty more,
I wouldn't sleep a minute away.
Oh, there's black jack and poker and the roulette wheel,
A fortune won and lost on every deal.
All you need's a strong heart and a nerve of steel...
